22 Years ago today, this man’s life perished.
I never met him, I never knew him, but this man has completely changed the way I look at the world, and I thank him every day for that.
Inadvertently, he taught me how to look past societies unkind growth, and focus on real beauty of this world.
Thank you Mr. Chris McCandless for changing my life for the better.
Rest in paradise Supertramp.

i highly suggest reading into the wild, its told from the authors perspective and its amazing, he explains Chris’ personality so well, his families past, basically how he met his own end due to his own ultimate stubborn-ness and lack of being able to ask for help but also deals with so much more. His life, his parents life, what it was like inside his mind, is so well explained and it all makes sense, you can almost predict the outcome. He reminds me a lot of myself in many ways, and in ways i dont really admire to be honest. Although this book and his story are truly inspiring, It reminds us all that we are not invincible that those simple mistakes and decisions we sometimes make, that we think are right could be very wrong and could really change our lives in ways we never imagined, and sometimes not for the better.
You say I look high
After I lay back, tired and out of breath
From fucking you senseless.
But you don’t know how close to the truth you are.
Because the passion we create
Is a better high than any substance I’ve ever swallowed, snorted or smoked.
I feel more euphoric with you,
Than with pills.
More at home with you,
Than with alcohol.
And more at peace with the world,
Than with Mary Jane.
I never knew what addiction felt like
Until I tasted your lips.
I’ve never felt a high
Quite like you.
